I have long blonde hair which is layerd, I love my hair but even with the layers it just seems to look boring and it just hangs there, with no real shape, Im thinking of cutting it in to a shoulder length bob but shorter at the back and cut in to my neck type of thing but im scared i will totally regret it as it has taken me along time to grow this hair, advice please

Here's a great plan: keep the length in the back, but get some long layers put in - it will look like you have a lot more hair, and you can still put it up or pony tail it when you want.

Long layers and a pretty hi-light would look really polished and sexy.

A bob may make your face look round- something to consider.

Get a trendy magazine and cut a few pictures out of hairstyles you like and take it to your hair stylist. They can tell you if a style will work for your hair type and facial features.

And- after all, it's just hair. Try something new just for fun. If you get compliments and encouragement from your friends, try something bolder next time!

well what i would say is do what you think is right or you can ask your friends what they think i have long hair and really none of my friends like it only a few.... but i don't care I am cutting my hair for locks of love if you do decide to cut Ur hair send it to lock of love they will appreciate it well that's my advice hope i helped you

yes! I had hair down to my but I could sit on it. It was puffy boring, out of control lol! I got it cut a little below my sholders and layerd more around my face. It looks great I love it now. I left it up to the hair stylist on what to do to my hair

It's only hair! I had waist length hair and gradually it has now ended up in a bob and it feels so much better. At the end of the day, if you don't like it you can always grow it back.

i wouldn't have it cut that short but i'd have it cut a couple of inches below your shoulders with lots of choppy layers in it. my fella always tells me girls are sexier with longer hair..

noooooooooooooooooooooooo don't do it. when i was 16 i went to the hair dressers to get mine cut cos it was a bit to long it was right down to my hips. as soon as she said r you sure i was feeling a little faint. soon as she sniped it off i started to cry in the hairdressers. i just looked at the floor and it was covered in my hair boo hooo. and i had my hair was shoulder length and i have been growing it sine but i get it snipped every so often to keep it a nice length. and looks lovey when i have it down i get other girls when i go out playing with my hair in the Que to get in to clubs and pubs lol saying how nice it is.

If your hair is naturally curly but layered, then cut it off. If not, then cut only an inch.

I've always had long hair. When I was 10 I had it all cut up to my chin and hated it but hey, it grew back and is long again.

A way of trying it, hold the very bottom of your hair in a really loose ponytail and then fold it back so it looks like a bob. If your face looks good with it, do it!

Loads of other things to try, highlights, low lights, feathering etc....

You could just get a trim and put some more layers in to give it a bit more shape, Your could also try some of the tongs that curl your hair, that's what I use when I go out, you get really nice curls which you can grip up, it looks nice and stylish.

There are some hairdressers that will take a photo of you before you have your hair chopped, they put your photo up on a screen and then put different styles on top of you original hair to see if it suits you. Try that first, it might suit you it might not, Find out first before you do anything you might regret.

Good luck, whatever you do it will be the right choice, your hair will always grow back.

honestly dnt do it!!! its a big regret. i did it and i have still not gotten my hair back to the long hair i had. u might not think ull regret it but it takes long to get ur hair long and beautiful again!! trust me on this one. there are prob people who will say its ot my decision to make but this is advice to save u frm making a mistake. u prob think it looks boring but other people might really like it. if u still want to cut it though, try a bit more then a trim and work frm there.

Don`t have it cut. you can do so much more with long hair and think if you didn`t like it how long would it take to grow back. That short style will just be a five minute wonder. Long hair is always in.

i was the same as you and loved my long hair but thought it would look better in a bob to give it some shape, now it looks ok, but i really miss the long hair now its gone, the bob is so hard to style and you can only ever keep it the same, keep your long hair, or just get a new longer cut style, rather then having a really short cut like a bob

I would start by cutting it sholder length and see if u like it there, then if u like it shorter go for the bob but if u end up not liking it sholder length hair u can put up in a ponytail until it grows out!
