If you do locks of love (I did that when my hair was 3 feet long) you need to donate at least 12 inches of wet, never dyed or processed, healthy hair. It isn't recommended if you don't have much more than the minimum amount.

you should definitely donate it. first of all, it makes you feel really good and second of all, it's a very very admirable trait and deed, so you'll become a better person bc of it....and maybe get a girl! haha, no one wants to be with a bad person.
