What is the best hair cut for someone with a oval face and wants to keep hair long?

i want to get a new cut for when my hubby comes back from iraq, but i want to keep it long. I had a friend who grad. comsmetoloy school, who said she knew how to cut hair, chopped it up good. I haven't talked to her since. I want to fix the damage, which was 6 months ago, but want to keep my hair long. what would be a good cut. I have tried long layers. My hair is very straight, thin on top, but thick on the bottom. any tips would be greatly appreciated.

Why not get it like this: Framing the face, wispy cut. Random layers all around, jsut below the shoulder. That way youve got the length, you'll even out the thickness and it will look great!

I would say try a layer look, have the shortest layer at like your chin and work you way down, You cant keep it to long and keep it cute, sorry

Why don't you just take a haircut like this:get a little cut at the bottom where its thick,so that way its even, put long layers on,and at the bottom where your hair ends get it even with the others so it matches and its straight right across.
