Back in school, (I'm in college now), I was always told I should cut my hair by the girls. I had and still have long straight hair. I never cut it, and all the girls say, or used to say it looks ugly.

Should I cut it now? ... Is it really ugly? Your opinions please!

I think long hair is always beautiful and they are probably making those comments out of jealousy but as long as you are happy with it you should keep it..Alot of women strive to have long hair and I know men love it!

Um, I cant really give you an answer unless you have a picture of it. Like you don't have to post a pic of yourself if you dont want to, just google it and find a hairstyle that looks like yours.

I would say if its pass your butt then cut it to where its write above your waist. Because pass your butt is just way too long.

I also have a long straight hair down to my hips.. Maybe you can cut it but not to short.. U shape if your hair is thin and V shape if your hair is thick..

well if it on the dark side (black, grey) cut it,if its on the light side (chesnut,blonde,red) leave it as it is.dark = cut as light = don't cut.

The girls who say its ugly are only hating because they hair isnt long as yours. To make your hair look more age appropiate you should get long layers cut or just get your ends trimmed or perhaps also some streaks.

No don't cut it...long hair can be beautiful!!!! It kinda depends on the length but like down to your butt is probably not ok but long as in to the middle of your back is all goooood!!! :)

I have long hair too.....it's to my butt and everyone's like "Cut it, cut it" and I didn't care but now it's too long. It's very hard (for me anyways) to keep it nice and all and showers are a pain. If you want to, you should cut it in layers or something. That's what I'm going to do. But don't cut it too much.....maybe a little below your shoulders or something like that.

Look that's a personal preference thing. True that there are some women who can pull it off, and others can't. If you take the time to keep your hair well maintained, I think you should leave it the way it is. Besides, you can do more with long hair than you can with short. Don't let some jealous hussies ruin your image of yourself.

if its past your butt its probably too long, when it gets this long its usually pretty unhealthy. get it cut to your waist, and maybe with some layers in the front, this is a very flattering cut.

if its not that long, that just give it a little trim to make the ends look good and healthy.

you should trim your hair every six to eight weeks to keep it looking healthy and stop split ends. use treatments to make it shine and never brush it when its wet. long straight hair can look great if you spend the time to look after it.

im in school now and i hair very long kinda wavy blonde hightlighted hair. w/ layers

i just recently got it layered and highlighted and that made it really easy to do in the mornings so ive been wearing it down more

my hair is down to my lower back

sometimes the right cut makes all the difference try getting it styled w/ bangs or layers or something

I love long hair, my hair is down to the middle of my back but i'm trying to get it to grow to my waist and just keep it there...most men i have meet prefer women with long hair, as long as it is shiny, and healthy and you keep up with it!!

Maybe you should have it styled, and still leave in long, maybe a perm, and layers. That would be pretty, and mouse it up, I think that hair is beautiful. Dont chop it off. I had hair to my bum, I cut it all off. NOW its fugly. I hate short hair. Dont cut it, make it pretty!!

Long hair doesn't mean that's it's ugly and you need to cut it. It sounds like that they are envious of your hair and they are trying to pressure you into cutting. Only cut if it's what YOU want. I have hair that's well kept undyed, and is mid back length. I plan on growing it longer, not because someone else wants it like that, it's what I want. It's your hair, wear it in any style that will make you happy.
