I am african-american, 14 and I got my hair cut (all of the dead and split ends) i have a lot of new growth it has been a month and 10 days ....
-How long will it take for my ends to not look all straight (grow in).
-Is 4 and a half in. a lot.

everyones hair is different because of hormones and treatment, but it grows an average of 6 inches a year.
the next time you get it cut, ask them to cut it with a razor. it thins the harsh edges.
