keep your hair long, but get short layers (that are about two inches longer than your bangs). You NEED to get Bedhead Manipulator! it is the best. put the manipulator on the ends of the short layers and bring them forward towards your face then let them fall wherever. hope i helped. Report It

its either cutting or dying it a crazy color (which is something your dad is probably even more against). theres a reason why it looks emo and not standard everyday hair.

the easiest way is to cut some bangs and i dont see why your dad wont let you do that since it wont be affecting your overrall length of hair. good luck though.
